Start with the code type. A developer code for one Roblox game, an avatar promotion, and a paid gift-card PIN do different jobs. Entering a genuine code in the wrong place can still fail.
Choose the right redemption destination

Redeem a code inside a game
- Open the game's official Roblox listing and check the creator. Similar titles can lead to a different experience.
- Read the developer's current instructions or the source-linked game page on this site.
- Find the redemption control described there. Menu names and locations vary; there is no universal game-code button.
- Copy the code exactly as published, then submit it in that game's interface.
- Read the game's confirmation or error. Check the named reward rather than assuming it adds to your Roblox account's Robux balance.
These are a way to locate the correct instructions, not a promise that every game supports codes. Do not pay for a third-party “activation” service.
Redeem a platform code in a browser
- Open www.roblox.com/redeem yourself.
- Confirm you are signed into the account that should receive the reward.
- Enter your promo or card code and select Redeem.
- Wait for Roblox's confirmation. For a virtual item, check the matching Inventory category.
Roblox documents this route for promo codes and toy or virtual-item codes. A successful copy on this site only copies text; Roblox or the game must confirm redemption.
Use a phone or console
For gift cards, a phone browser is the general option. Standard mobile apps and consoles do not provide gift-card redemption. Roblox currently documents a Samsung Galaxy app exception: More, then Redeem. See Roblox's device-specific instructions. This restriction concerns gift cards, not an experience's own in-game code interface.
Work through an error in this order
- Wrong place? Match the code type to the table above.
- Wrong text? Compare it with the source. Check extra spaces and similar-looking characters.
- Already claimed? Look for the promised item or the game's claimed message before trying again.
- Expired or restricted? Read the original deadline and requirements. A date on a search result does not renew a code.
- Still failing? Keep the exact error. Use the developer's official help for game codes, or Roblox Support for platform purchases.
